Where you always wondering what programming and coding is? Are you looking for a way to improve your skills and employability?
Are you confused about the proper way of learning how to code? Are you stuck with coding books and lag the time and will to learn? The best way to learn how to program is by doing it!
Join us in our Coding and Robotics camp where you will learn the basics of coding in a fun, interactive and accessible way. You will be introduced to coding with Visual Basic and then put the skills learned in practice by programming the award winning Edison robot.
Edison is a super affordable educational robot from Australia which has been design especially for educational purposes, suitable for beginners, it is LEGO compatible and it comes with a variety of freely available educational resources.
This courses values and encourages creativity, confidence and hands-on experience with different game-based activities. Our curriculum promotes 21st century skills like problem solving, critical and computational thinking and develops communication and collaboration. By the end of the course, you will have improved your STEM skills in an interactive and fun way.

Schedule
Monday:
Get familiar with the “Coding and Robotics” platform; creation of profiles, registration in courses, evaluate and validate skills using Open Badges.
Tuesday:
What is programming? Why programming is important? Introduction of the basic concepts of programming with the use of the Visual Basic programming language.
Wednesday:
Program the Edison robot with ready-made barcode. Get acquainted with the sensors and motors of Edison.
Thursday:
Program Edison robot with EdBlocks and Edware programming interfaces; discussion on the most suitable programing interface for a group of students.
Friday:
Construct and program using variables, conditional logic and looping actions.
Saturday:
Workshop – Further steps – Robotics competitions.
